AT&T K-12 Homework Gap Program

Apply Now!

AT&T has made a $10 million commitment to help close the homework gap for at-risk students by providing free mobile Wi-Fi hotspots and internet service.

On November 12, 2020, AT&T announced that it is committing $10 million to support our nation’s most vulnerable students who don’t have adequate internet access and are disconnected from learning. There are an estimated 17 million public K-12 students falling into the homework gap due to COVID-19 school closures, and approximately 3 million of our most vulnerable students who may not have experienced any formal education—virtual or in-person—since March 2020.

The AT&T K-12 homework gap program is focused on bridging the connectivity gap for at-risk students by providing mobile Wi-Fi hotspots and free AT&T wireless internet service. School districts, charter schools, and community-based non-profit organizations that serve at-risk youth are eligible to apply. The program is focused primarily on impacting students in the following groups:

  • Students in foster care

  • Students experiencing homelessness

  • English language learners

  • Students with disabilities

  • Students eligible for the Migrant Education Program

  • Other at-risk students who may be disconnected from formal education opportunities

AT&T has partnered with non-profit Connected Nation to administer this program. Be sure to read Connected Nation's terms and conditions carefully at the end of the process before submitting your application.
